More U.S. schools adopt flipped instructional model

From BLENDED to FLIPPED - what do you think?


A growing number of schools are adopting a flipped instructional model in which class time is used for hands-on instruction and discussion, rather than lectures. Schools use the online tutoring program Khan Academy, in which students watch instructional videos at home. Supporters say the teaching model gives educators more time during class to explore topics in depth, while critics question whether its reliance on online materials puts some schools at a disadvantage.
