How will Google's new privacy policy affect schools? Courtesy of ASCD Brief

  • The internet has offered many new learning opportunities for students and teachers alike.  However, the stumbling block for many has been the privacy issue.  Now Google, one of the most widely used services among educators, is changing its privacy policy.  Take a look and see.  -  Remember, google aps can be downloaded to your in school server and blocked from public viewing under the old policies!
Google last month announced changes to its privacy practices, consolidated from 60 across all its sites to a single policy, set to take effect on March 1. Under its current policies, Google already allows data interaction between its Calendar, Docs and other features in the core suite of Apps for Education. However, questions remain about the effect the new policy will have on Apps for Education users, with the company's use of data among the top concerns. T.H.E.
