What is standing in the way of education technology?
A recent report identifies six challenges preventing effective, widespread implementation of education technology. Among them, according to the New Media Consortium report, are the lack of adequate professional development, resistance to change and competition from new models of schooling. Other challenges include obstacles to providing informal learning, failures of personalized learning and a lack of technology-driven and effective formative assessments. T.H.E.
