I am including this free white paper (which is excellent) here because the term blended learning is being used to identify many different models. I hope this will help. Courtsey of ASCD SmartBrief.

Here are some great ideas on how to use technology to deepend the understanding of new math and ELA CCSS. Enjoy! Courtesy of ASCD Smart Brief.

How some teachers use tech to teach new standards
The Common Core State Standards call for some technology use, but many experts say educators also should integrate technology judiciously when it deepens lessons or heightens student engagement. Here are some great resources based on song lyrics and poetry. I am posting it here because of the potential these lessons offer for the use of technology - slide shows, videos - presented when working with poetry and song lyrics. Courtesy of Corbett Harrison

Thank you, thank you, thank you to those of you who have already contributed to our "Save WritingFix until 2020" campaign.  We're over 33% of the way to our ultimate goal.
Reason to save WritingFix #4: Did you know we have an entire collection of ready-to-go lessons all based on a very eclectic collection of song lyrics.  When you use a song as a mentor text, there is a totally different energy in the room; I've never seen my own students respond to writing lessons better than I do when I have a song somehow involved in the teaching.  There are a lot of poetry lessons here (as well as other types of writing), but this upcoming spring is a perfect time to try out a few new poetry lessons.
Here's the blog post I just made that will direct you to this great collection of ready-to-use lessons built by K-12 teachers from Northern Nevada: http://writinglesson.ning.com/profiles/blogs/why-writingfix-should-be-saved-reason-4
Thanks again for your support of WritingFix!
Have a great weekend...
